  25.   I think the general tape driver is better, but there were some
  26. drive-specific handling done in the old driver that probably isn't in
  27. the new driver.  I had some trouble with an Exabyte 8mm drive because
  28. of some setup that the old driver did which isn't in the new driver.  I
  29. modified the new driver to add the 8mm as another 'rouge' and was able
  30. to get the drive working.  I had also added some special handling to
  31. the old driver for a DEC TZ50 tape drive.  I haven't had much luck getting
  32. that to work with the new driver.  [Part of the problem is that the new
  33. driver executes a SCSI command that the old driver didn't, and that command
  34. isn't supported by the DEC drive.]

  36.   I think the new driver works fine with my Wangtek 5150ES drive, although
  37. I haven't tried it lately.  The stupid A4000 box doesn't have a deep enough
  38. 5-1/4" bay, so I couldn't put the drive in the A4000.
